Hey! I'm LaCresha!

You know how it is to feel like you’ve lost your identity since becoming a mom and you’re juggling so many responsibilities that it’s only a matter of time before everything comes crashing down?

You used to get dressed and put on makeup but now you’ve been wearing the same T-shirt for 2 days with dried spit-up from your newborn or a mystery stain from your toddler.

Does this sound familiar?

After I had my daughter I found myself crying…a lot. She was beautiful, healthy, and everything I dreamed she would be. Yet, I still couldn’t stop crying.

I felt so embarrassed that I didn’t feel happy at one of the happiest moments of my life.

You see, postpartum hormones can sneak up on you and steal the joy from what should be overwhelmingly happy moments.

But it’s not your fault you feel this way.

Here’s the thing, everyone prepares you to take care of a newborn, but no one prepares you for taking care of yourself postpartum.

After a year of working on myself, I’ve finally gotten to a point where I don’t feel like I’m drowning in the ocean of motherhood responsibilities.

And I want the same for you.

But first, let me tell you a little bit more about me and how I can help you.

My husband and I have been married for 3 years…I think (I’m the worst at keeping up with this type of stuff). We have a very active 16 month old daughter and a 2 year old yorkie who hates taking pictures.

We both work from home which is surprisingly quite nice. I always get asked, “Do you guys argue a lot since you’re together 24/7?” And the answer is no we both handle the responsibilities at home so I enjoy having him here.

I graduated from nursing school in 2014 and I told him from the beginning of our relationship that I wanted to be a stay at home mom.

We made smart financial decisions which you can read all about HERE and I left my nursing job when I was 37 weeks pregnant (I wanted to leave earlier but I didn’t know we had to give a month’s notice 🤦‍♀️).

I struggled with baby blues after having my daughter so the kitchen was always a disaster zone and taking a shower took as much preparation as Beyoncé’s Coachella performance.

Most days I try to get dressed and look decent but there’s also chill days where I don’t care if I look like crap and the house is a mess.

Since my husband and I both work from home, time management has become my JAM!

The method that’s been critical to my massive productivity success is time blocking.

Every morning I know exactly what I have to get done so I don’t feel like I’m doing a bunch of random stuff all day. You can read all about it HERE.

And have I mentioned that I’m still breastfeeding?

Advocating for breastfeeding moms is also my jam. It’s probably the nurse in me who loves sticking up for people and making sure they’re properly educated since there’s so much false information floating around the internet.

I also love supporting other moms in their breastfeeding journey because, let’s be honest, a lot of us don’t get the proper support.

If I had a dollar for every time I was asked, “when are you gonna stop breastfeeding” or told to switch to formula anytime we had the smallest issue, I could have a pretty decent handbag from Walmart.

It was a struggle in the beginning and we were both exhausted until we started doing these 7 things at night which you can find out all about HERE.

Here at No Guide For Mom I’m all about helping women and moms just like you slay pregnancy, conquer breastfeeding, and master motherhood with quick fixes and simple solutions.

That’s why you’ll mostly read all about my favorite tip, tricks, and hacks regarding how to cope with uncomfortable pregnancy symptoms, how to crush your breastfeeding goals, and how to manage your time to get the most done without feeling overwhelmed.

I know what it’s like to feel so much pressure to keep the house clean, the family fed, and make sure everyone is happy while you haven’t even had a chance to take a shower.

This has been my journey and I’m excited to share how you’ll go from just getting by to thriving and looking forward to each day.

Oh and I love to keep things simple which is why I like to call my tips lazy mom hacks cause spending 3 hours deep cleaning the kitchen is not my thing.

I stopped folding laundry years ago. Throwing everything in bins saves sooo much time.

I’m so happy you’ve decided to hang out with me and I can’t wait to find out a little bit about you too. Grab your coffee or wine and join me on this journey to master motherhood without losing our sanity or identity.
